Friends Matter

For organisations like Friends Matter, which specialises in social communication skills training for teens and adults, building confidence and independence in their participants is a core mission. With personalised coaching and structured programs, Friends Matter empowers individuals to navigate social interactions with ease. However, behind the scenes, the administrative process of managing enrolments and agreements presented a challenge. That’s where Annature’s digital signing platform came in, transforming how Friends Matter handles documentation and streamlining their enrolment workflow.

What challenges did you face in your organisation?

Founder Michelle Foster shares how Annature has reshaped their processes: “We run courses throughout the year, and each enrolment involves multiple documents. Before, we relied on traditional methods—printing, scanning, and emailing— which was cumbersome and often confusing for our clients. Now, everything is digital, and it’s a much smoother experience for both our participants and their advocates.”

A key feature that has made an impact is the ability to send documents to multiple recipients. Many of Friends Matter’s participants require an advocate or guardian to co-sign their agreements, which used to create additional logistical hurdles. “Some of our students are adults who want to sign for themselves, while others need an advocate to finalise their paperwork. Annature lets us customise each case easily, so we can ensure the right person is signing where necessary without unnecessary back-and-forth,” Michelle explains.

How has Annature improved your processes?

Beyond simplifying enrolment, Annature’s dashboard has provided an added layer of efficiency and peace of mind. “One of the biggest stress points for me was tracking down signed documents. I’d send out forms and then wonder: Did they get it? Did they sign it? Now, I can see everything at a glance. It’s either pending, signed, or needs follow-up—no more second-guessing or digging through emails,” she says.

Another unexpected benefit has been the integration of automated reminders. “I noticed that people were signing forms much faster than before. I realised it was because Annature was sending automatic follow-ups, gently nudging them without me having to chase them down. That’s been a huge relief.” While Michelle initially used SMS notifications sparingly, she’s now exploring ways to customise them for different recipients, ensuring a seamless experience for both students and their guardians.

By adopting Annature, Friends Matter has not only improved the efficiency of its administrative tasks but also enhanced the experience for its participants. With less time spent on paperwork and more time dedicated to empowering individuals with social skills, Friends Matter can continue to focus on what truly matters—helping people build meaningful connections and navigate life with confidence.
